I am looking for a open water skiff for Mediterranee(1 or 2 rowers)which is great to row and fairly fast but which also accomodates the occasional family needs (dry, safe, some capacity to transport the gear for the day trip...). And, limited maintenance need. And, not overwhemmingly difficult to handle on land. Would you be able to recommend any such boat?matti liedesnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-919094178463029114.post-19056813161086504292012-07-02T21:31:29.042+01:002012-07-02T21:31:29.042+01:00I haven't a clue, Mr O'D. But Nichola and the boy apparently won the contest for Coolest Arrival, especially as the driver switched on the 'blues and twos' and stormed through the school.Chris Partridgehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14883064324795042491noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-919094178463029114.post-56479984919908594972012-07-02T01:45:12.182+01:002012-07-02T01:45:12.182+01:00Sorry for raising what may be an off-topic questio...Sorry for raising what may be an off-topic question (something I rarely do), but could you explain the origin of this British custom of being photographed with a fire engine at one's prom?O Dockerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08674140306304705852noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-919094178463029114.post-60074844266629418392012-06-30T08:14:02.524+01:002012-06-30T08:14:02.524+01:00You are absolutely right, Max. The Yole is an excellent boat in every respect apart from not rewarding to row, which is a bit of a fundamental defect really.Chris Partridgehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14883064324795042491noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-919094178463029114.post-2943454819610899822012-06-30T07:17:09.135+01:002012-06-30T07:17:09.135+01:00Interesting boat test Chris, the Yole looks very p...Interesting boat test Chris, the Yole looks very practical and well thought out and the open transom/self draining capability is appealing in open water - but a rowing boat has to be good to row - you don't say why you weren't enchanted?Bursledon Bloggerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14020592383830135476noreply@blogger.com
