Bosham

Little Snarleyow went to Bosham today for her first real outing since her refurb. The weather was still, the clouds of an incoming depression moving up from the southwest.
The improved rowing position and the longer oars worked a treat - she is considerably faster and will be a pleasure to take down the Thames with the HBBR later this year.

Nice photograph. Are the longer oars more tiring on the arms?

Jolly Good, Chris

Glad to hear she's been adjusted to suit. Which reminds me, your 'Masthead' for this blog - looking at it more carefully, I recently realized you are actually rowing Snarleyow Two very gently astern....

Alden - they feel heavier and the gearing is harder but they propel the boat faster so it's worth it.
Chris - that pic was taken (by Grum, I think) as I gently reversed out of the creek at Lechlade at the start of last year's HBBR rally. What a great trip...
